Cookie policy

This article explains the cookies Skeday uses and why they exist. Skeday is a scheduling tool for small frontline businesses. Essential cookies keep a manager signed in. If you accept the cookie notice, the Google tag can also count page visits. These cookies are not used to advertise.

The sign-in cookie

When you sign in, the session cookie tells Skeday which manager account is signed in so the schedule, employees, shifts, and settings pages can load. It is an essential cookie. Without it, Skeday would ask you to sign in on every request. The cookie is tied to your session and is cleared when you sign out.

The Google sign-up cookie

If you create an account with Google, Skeday sets a short-lived cookie during registration so the company name and timezone you entered can be attached to the new account. That cookie is only part of creating the account. It is not used to track you across other sites.

Why these cookies are required

Both cookies are required for the signed-in product to work. The session cookie keeps you signed in. The sign-up cookie finishes account creation. Skeday does not offer a version of the signed-in product that works without the session cookie. You can still read public pages such as the home page, pricing, terms, privacy, and this article.

The Google tag

If you choose Accept on the cookie notice, Skeday loads the Google tag and Google can count which pages were opened. Decline leaves that tag unloaded. A public schedule address is shortened before it is sent, so the private part of a shared link is not included. A password-reset link is not included either. Schedule contents, employee names, and account email are not sent to Google. Skeday does not use this measurement for advertising.

Cookies Skeday does not set

Skeday does not set advertising cookies. Schedule data is not used for ads. We do not sell personal information. Opening a public schedule link does not require the viewer to accept the cookie notice in order to see a published week.

Paddle checkout cookies

If you subscribe, checkout opens through Paddle, the merchant of record. Paddle may set its own cookies on Paddle's domain while you pay. Those cookies are not set by Skeday on this site. Paddle's privacy notice describes them. Skeday still does not store your card number.

The cookie notice

A notice at the bottom of the page links to this article. Accept stores that choice in local storage on this browser and loads the Google tag. Decline stores that choice and leaves the Google tag unloaded. Decline does not switch off the sign-in cookie. Signing in still requires it. The stored choice is not itself a tracking cookie. If you clear site data, the notice can appear again. You can open this article again from the footer at any time.
